포노 사피엔스 코드, 이 사태가 진정이 된 후 무엇을 해야 하는지 애프터 코로나 시대를 알고 싶었다. 아이들의 개학이 미뤄진 이후로 곧 끝날 거라 생각했던 사태는 진정되었다가 재확산이 되고 있다. 세상은 서로를 탓하며 비이성적인 행동들이 난무하고, 종교, 인종, 성등 나와 다름을 비난하기만 하는 시대가 되어가니 무섭기도 하고 이 사태가 끝난다면 어떤 대비를 해야 할지 기준이 될 무언가가 필요했다. 저자의 책 <포노 사피엔스 phono sapiens>를 읽어보진 않았지만, 이미 그 책에선 오프라인 문명 체계에 익숙한 ‘기성세대’와 스마트폰 기반의 디지털 플랫폼 생활에 익숙한 ‘포노 사피엔스 세대’간의 갈등이 오면서 새로운 문명이 도래한다는 이야기를 담은 책이라 하니 같이 읽어봐도 좋을 것 같다.
나에게 기준이 되어 준 유일한 책이다. 다른 책과 다르게 요즘 바뀌는 교육과 미래 인재를 길러야 하는 기본적인 틀을 바꿔야 한다는 주장에 너무 공감이 되어 또 다른 의식전환의 계기가 되었다.
Change9 Future Prediction
After the real emergence of the Phono Sapiens Code, I wanted to know what to do in the post-corona era. The situation that I thought would end soon after the postponement of children’s school reopening is now becoming more serious with resurgences. The world is filled with irrational behaviors, blaming each other, and a time where people criticize differences in religion, race, and gender, making it both frightening and necessary to have something to guide us on what preparations to make when this situation ends. Although I haven’t read the author’s book “Phono Sapiens,” I heard that the book talks about conflicts between the “Established Generation,” familiar with the offline civilization system, and the “Phono Sapiens Generation,” familiar with smartphone-based digital platform life, as heralding the advent of a new civilization, so it seems like a good idea to read it together.
It is the only book that has become a reference for me. Unlike other books, it prompted me to change the fundamental framework for nurturing future talents in changing education nowadays.

So many people imagine a wonderful future and work hard to make it a reality. They go through considerable effort to reach that point. Now that the standard of humanity has changed to Phono Sapiens, shouldn’t the criteria for imagining our future and the efforts needed to achieve it change as well? What would be a wonderful future? 방송과 유통, 교육, 기업 모두 판이 바뀌고 있습니다. 지상파 방송은 2년 이상 보지 않았고, 금융은 카뱅, 아이들 학습은 노트북으로 온라인 강의를 듣고, 자기 전에는 스마트폰으로 쇼핑을 하며, 새벽에는 문 앞에서 상품을 받습니다. 요즘은 매일 어플로 걷기와 독서 기록, 일정 체크, 아이들 학습 정리 등을 추가로 합니다. 구글과 스마트폰 하나면 어렵지 않게 할 수 있지만, SNS를 100% 사용하는 것은 애매합니다. 페이스북은 잘 안 쓰고 인스타는 가끔 씁니다. 결국 SNS도 잘 쓰면 도움이 된다는 의견도 있습니다.
우선, 2010년대에 태어난 아이들의 교육을 어떻게 해야 할지 고민이 많이 됩니다. 지금까지와 달라진 스펙과 인재상에 대비하기 위해 꿈의 판을 바꿔야 한다는 의견이 너무 공감됩니다. 포노 사피엔스에 대한 이해가 우선되어야 한다고 생각합니다. 중간에 나온 꼰대 테스트를 해보았는데, 다행히 2~3개 정도밖에 나오지 않았습니다. 사실 생각해보면 20대의 나도 백반만 먹는 과장님들을 이해하지 못했던 시절이 있었습니다. 그 당시에도 아침에 베이글에 커피를 마시며 월급을 탕진했는데, 그 돈을 아끼고 있었다면 지금 어떤 삶을 살고 있을까요?

I haven’t watched terrestrial broadcasting for over two years, and I study Spanish while listening to online lectures on my laptop, shop on my smartphone before going to bed, and receive packages at the doorstep in the early morning. These days, I also add recording my walking and reading, checking schedules, and organizing my children’s study using apps. It can easily be done with Google and a smartphone, but using SNS 100% is ambiguous. I don’t use Facebook much and only use Instagram occasionally. Some people argue that using SNS well can be helpful.
2020년대를 살아가는 모든 사람들이 한 번쯤은 읽으면 좋을 책입니다. 코로나 이후 달라진 사회에 대비하여 어떤 것을 준비해야 하는지에 대한 가이드 역할을 합니다. 이 책을 읽으면 많은 생각을 하고, 다른 사람들을 이해하고 인정할 수 있는 기회가 될 것입니다. 또한, 다양성을 인정하기 어려운 부장님들도 읽어야 하고, 부모님의 가르침대로 공부만 했던 취준생들에게도 매우 유익할 것입니다. 또한, 초등학생들을 둔 부모님들에게도 꼭 필요한 책입니다. 특히 세대별로 서로 다른 생각과 가치관을 가지고 있다는 것을 이해할 수 있게 해주는 점에서는 고맙게 받아들여질 수밖에 없습니다.
First of all, I am deeply concerned about how to educate children born in the 2010s. I feel much empathy with the argument that we need to change the board of dreams to prepare for changes in specifications and talents. Understanding Phono Sapiens should be a priority. I tried the “Kon-dae Test” that came out in the middle, but luckily, only two or three came out. At that time, I also drank coffee with a bagel in the morning and spent my salary extravagantly. If I had saved that money, what kind of life would I be living now?

It is essential to maintain the basic humanity while improving skills and sincerely treating others, regardless of how methods may change. Although the title “Phono Sapiens Code” may sound unfamiliar, the book content is written in an easy-to-understand manner without using difficult words, so there’s no need to worry. This book is a means of looking back at my current position and changing my perception to use anxiety and energy more efficiently.
내가 기억하고 싶은 한 가지
저자는 꿈을 이루기 위해서는 판을 바꿔야 한다고 말합니다. 공부를 열심히 하는 것도 중요하지만, 그것만으로는 충분하지 않다는 것입니다. 모든 분야에서 누구에게나 공정한 기회가 주어진다는 말은 희망적입니다. 블라인드 채용이 점차 늘어날 것이며, 나이, 학력, 성별과는 상관없이 성공할 수 있는 기회가 있는 미래 사회가 올 것입니다. 결국, 실력이 있어야만 가능한 일은 세대를 불문하고 변함이 없습니다.
One Thing I Want to Remember
The author says that to achieve a dream, we need to change the board. Studying hard is important, but it’s not enough. The phrase “equal opportunities are given to everyone in all fields” sounds hopeful. Blind recruitment will increase, and a future society will emerge where anyone can succeed regardless of age, education, or gender. Ultimately, things that require skills will not change across generations.
